Fall Handbag Trends: The Food And Fashion Industries Meet In The Middle

Some fads are easier to explain than others. (After all this time, who really knows why mustaches have become a popular emblem on shirts, pants, and accessories?) A similar air of mystery surrounds some of the latest and most popular handbag and purse designs. Why? One of the biggest fads this fall is handbags, purses, and clutches that are all about food. Let’s take a look.

Yes, There Are Purses Shaped Like Pineapples And Sausage Links

Some handbag designs are taking the trend 100% literally — and even going so far as to shape bags and clutches like foods. Thanks to these handbag styles, you can buy a purse or clutch shaped like a pineapple, a quarter of a grapefruit, or even a pair of sausage links (however impractical that may be). Trend Hunter describes a recent photo opp with the bags: “The Linus Morales Fabulous Food shoot features sassy Chanel sausage links, fried Fendi fishsticks, raw meat Gucci, and toasty Louis Vuitton bread.” Of course, you can still snag designer bags shaped like your favorite foods at reasonable prices, thanks to wholesale handbags distributors.

These Bags Celebrate Fast Food

Some of the top designer and/or fashion handbags average $2,500 to $3,000 each! Now you can shell out thousands of dollars (or spend comparably less for wholesale or mock handbag and purse designs) on bags that celebrate fast food. Several designers are releasing bags featuring the McDonald’s golden arches, bags shaped like a McDonald’s kids’ meal, or even bags resembling Chinese takeout boxes. Brand name bags are similarly in vogue — and not the brand name of the bag itself. More women are, for example, carrying bags shaped like Coca Cola cans or purses plastered with the Frosted Flakes or Kelloggs logos.

Is your modest selection of handbags a bit drab? Spice things up with the latest fall trend: a handbag shaped like food or celebrating some of your favorite takeout and fast food restaurants. Talk to one of 77,605 U.S. men and women working at the 27,999 handbag and tote companies about what bag best suits you.
